Some Very Interesting Projects Spawned From Isolation During These Covid Times

The lockdowns and imposed isolation over the past 6 months have born some creativity for some.  Here are some projects from the north or involving people from the north and their art creations.

First is the Drifter. The Drifter is a solitaire, story, dice game based in the fictional wild west. The drifter is reminiscent of games like Barbarian Prince (1980), where every game is a unique story experience.

You are a gunslinger who has been living a hazy existence. Your brief time in this world has been mostly spent on the outside of the law, killing, stealing, carousing with undesirables, living a dangerous life full of excess and violence. Recently, you feel life might have more to offer. You know this way of life will not last and now are looking to maybe put your wild ways away, buy a ranch and settle into obscurity. You determined you need $300 and are willing to get it by any means you feel necessary.

Will you fall victim to one of the endless dangers that lurk in the wild west or will you enjoy your remaining days in a serene retirement, tending to your ranch?

Next is song collaboration comprised of many musicians who recorded elements of a song that was produced into a stellar track that projects the feelings of being alone and isolated but also has an upbeat chorus that gives hope.

"Social distancing, quarantines, and self-isolation. To help stay positive, we decided to write a song.  Starting with a public Facebook post,  a bunch of musicians, stranded at home with their computers and phones decided to throw their ideas into a melting pot.

Everyone was given the same chord progression, a drumbeat and the internet.  Without hearing anybody else's parts, everyone wrote and recorded their own parts in isolation.  These parts were later edited together and combined to make this song."

The Griffians is a short story created during the summer of limited travel.  It's author was inspired by their adventures in a sci-fi DnD style RPG game.  ""In a race against the clock - Nureet must transport a precious heirloom across a dangerous stretch of arid desert. The prized possession may hold the secret to curing a planet wide pandemic."
